It is equipped with 3 roller coating system including Chrome plated Anilox Roller and doctor blade similar to chamber doctor for better control of UV Varnish solution. It works on letter press dry offset principle with 2 cylinder system. First cylinder is plate cum blanket cylinder. We can use blanket for doing full or flood coating, whereas Flexo or photo polymer plate to be used for doing spot coating. We can achieve spot-not window coating by using stripped blankets wherever coating is not required.

Spot not window coating is mainly used by pharma carton manufacturers to avoid coating on coding and pasting area. It is a brand new dedicated Coater with specially designed grippers and stainless steel coater unit and other parts to withstand the highly corrosive UV Varnish solution. Hence it is far better and advantageous than the used or converted coater in the long run. Why we have to take big risk on converted coater when you are getting a brand new machine along with dryer combined warranty with marginal difference in cost? The Dryer unit also carries One year spares warranty and 1000 hrs replacement warranty for the UV and IR Lamps.

The Lamps and reflectors are of high quality standards imported from Germany. Autoprint has installed more than 280 machines of Fine Coat 80 in all leading pharma, packaging companies all over India and in abroad as of March 2018.It can handle minimum 60 gsm chromo art mirror coated labels and paper upto 450 gsm board of size upto 22”x32”. The maximum speed is 6000 sheets per hour. It is ideal replacement upgrade solution for conventional manual feed or auto feed roller coater and your old used dryer. Apart from packaging, UV coating is also now popular among Publishing houses, where it is slowly replacing with UV coated Book Cover pages instead of lamination, Since lamination is a slow process which cannot match with the production made in offset presses. The creasing issues of book cover pages are also eliminated by using creasable varnishes and by the use of proper creasing tool in the perfect binding unit.

What is matrix cutter?

What is UV drip-off?

Drip Off represents an efficient and eye-catching method to achieve matt/gloss effects or matt/structure effects in a single process with just one coating unit. The principle: in the last ink duct, a primer is partially used. Out of the coating unit, a high gloss coating is applied in the full area. Where primer and high gloss coating meet, a repellent effect is realized. Where the primer has been left out, you realize high gloss surfaces. In this way, you can produce fine printing motives without a spot coating plate. Depending on the primer, application amount, and the setting of your printing press (power of UV lamps), you can achieve medium to strong structures which provide a high visual and haptical difference compared to the high gloss coating. The systems are characterized by very good scratch and scuff resistance.

What is drip printing?

Drip-off printing is used to get a matte/gloss effect or structure in just one single coating. First, the portions that need to be in gloss are processed together and then the remaining parts (excluding the glossy bits) are given a matte coating.

Is UV coating water resistant?

Is UV coating waterproof? No, UV coating is not waterproof, but it is water-resistant. UV coating shouldn’t be confused with other types of paper finishing processes, such as aqueous coating and lamination.
